This hotchpotch of dogs are raku fired, which roughly means they have been fired in a gas kiln, removed at a 1000º with tongs, dropped into a chamber of wood shavings and smoked, before being plunged into a bath of cold water and scrubbed with wire wool. The white you see is tin glaz,e while the matt black is the carbon stained area. They measure from 6 cm up to 12 cm in length.
